Welcome to our class website! I am a veteran teacher at Mullen, having taught here for the past 14 years. Most of that time, I taught a multi-age class of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, which I loved. I am a graduate of George Mason University, with a Masters of Education (MEd.) degree in curriculum and instruction. As a teacher leader, I have served as mentor for many teachers at Mullen, as well as Lead Mentor for the school. In 2000, I wrote a grant proposal to the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) organization to provide free book distributions to our students. The grant was approved, and the funding, along with a partial contribution from the Mullen P.T.O., has allowed each student at Mullen to receive three free books each year since that time. I love Mullen Elementary and our students, and feel proud to be part of our school community!
